Great agency, good rates of pay and very helpful staff

I work as an Educational Practitioner of English (Supply) for both Preston and Liverpool offices. Great staff, very helpful, polite, friendly and professional. Good rates of pay and hardworking. I have no problem recommending these two offices. They pay me more than the average rates shown here and therefore value their supply staff.

Randstad Preston - Great

The team in Preston are fantastic, I've been with them since Select and they've done everything they can to help since I graduated in 2007, fabulous team out nearly every day, always checking when I'm available!

Very little contact

Randstad Leeds. Did two days in PRU as a favour. Nothing since. Occasional phone calls at 9.00am. Think they prefer to use cheaper staff as they have called me in the past if they are struggling to fill a role i.e. teacher refuses to go back. They have provided TeachTeach in the past.

Randstad Maidstone: potential

The start was weak, not much work and a changeover of staff. A standard rate of pay. No training given. Office try to keep up to date and local work is sometimes not local. The relationship is new and developing but could become good.

Poor experience

I did not hear from the agency at all while registered with them. I had to chase them up to find out if I was cleared for work. Later, I got a long term supply role from another agency, and asked Randstad to remove me from their books, as I have had no interest from them at all. Now I am getting emails and calls from them, suggesting potential positions! Very poor communication!

Poor pay but reasonable amount of work.

I have worked for Randstad in Cambridge and the pay is shockingly low for a highly qualified and experienced teacher. They seem more interested in having as many possible teachers on their books than providing a quality service. One supply teacher I met when we were both in the same school, was asked to cover classes in her subject and she in mine that day!
I also discovered that they had a charged a school I was in for a few weeks £200 pd while paying me £115!
